Following the birth of his Foundation, to which Mazzucconi donates his works, and due to the care of its management, the Artist no paints any more for the remaining of 1996. Also in the two following years his painting is almost absent, except a few little and intense works in which one can read all the bitterness for the progressive deteriorating of his relationship with G. Without the Artist being fully conscious of it, the division is spontaneously expressed in these paintings, as well as in other paintings of the preceding period, in which, behind the appearances of happiness, the relationship with the loved one often was stormy.
