   THE UNDERGROUND
The underground level    


The main points of the project are:
  1. Natural light and ventilation for the MM users, thus making more liveable the Duomo station
  2. A lower level plaza, giving access to the MM and the Ark
  3. An archaeological area: not only does it gives access as well to the MM but it realizes a pleasant landscape design and a cultural achievement, allowing also to reach the ancient Baptistery, which is rather unknown today
  4. A new underground station MM + buses + taxis + tourist coaches, which will allow the square to be completely free of traffic
  5. New commercial and cultural activities, associated to the Ark, with the purpose of enhancing its insertion into the square life.
