  The Angel of Life
1987
100 x 70, oil on canvas
The great wealth, life’s opulence, seem a warm and sumptuous veil over nothing. Is death the true expression of life? Or is it a shadow that glows with light, a void from which the divinity radiates ...

  Little Soul
1987.07
80 x 60, oil on canvas
A girl friend, very short of stature, had inspired this painting, while the head, much bigger, belongs to a harpist whose recital I had attended later.
An horizontal position is recurrent in many painted heads of Mazzucconi, as an attitude turned to the inner world.

  Angel
1988
80 x 60, oil on canvas
